I recently completed my school year at The Yard and, unfortunately, will not be able to continue as a resident due to my FAU schedule. However, if I were staying in the Boca FAU area, I would not hesitate to continue as a Yard resident. The yard is professionally managed, well-kept, and has friendly residents with outstanding amenities for a college student. Its proximity to the campus is ideal, and the Yard's atmosphere is excellent. They take pride in their facility and make it friendly for... students. Think twice before signing a year away here… This place definitely fooled me, as a sophomore I was looking to go off campus and was so excited to be living in a “luxury” student housing complex. There are almost zero guest parking spots and parking for residents sucks, someone is either in your spot or constantly blocking you in. The rooms are infested with mold and humidity issues. The building is pretty old and the recent remodel attempt failed miserably. The place is quite literally FALLING... APART from the inside. You can see where they took off cabinets and left the glue all over the walls while failing to touch up paint. The floors are coming up in some parts of the place and cave in on other parts while the ceiling is full of cracks. The website mentions multiple amenities that have not been added to the facility also (there’s no study lounge and barely any resident events). The grass and outside areas are not kept up with and the grass becomes very overgrown. I mean it’s fully furnished, the washer/dryers are nice to have, and the giant tv in the living room is a plus but surely not worth the living standards. Also no security anyone can walk in the complex and use the pool area. Also good luck if you have roommate issues because they will not help you!
